Tell AIG what you think!

March 17, 2009 by Maureen Backman

When news broke that insurance giant AIG planned to dole out more than $165million in bonuses to company executives, Public Citizen was outraged.

We immediately got to work determining how to respond. We developed a plan – and we need you to take action today.

Tomorrow, AIG CEO, Edward M. Liddy, will testify before a House subcommittee examining how AIG got into its current economic mess and why it needs so much taxpayer bailout money.

It’s time to put an end to this era of irresponsible behavior and wasteful spending. The fact that companies like AIG are taking taxpayer money – YOUR money – while handing out millions of dollars in bonuses to people who oversaw the company’s downfall is an outrage.

Dear Mr. Liddy: Listen, you arrogant … corporate bonehead. Don’t you get it? You are the problem. You created the problem and now you perpetuate the problem by rewarding others for being boneheads. Giving these bonuses shows you view the tax payers with contempt, not respect. By the way, I am helping a gentleman in a Social Security claim who is trying to get surgery, but the insurance company wont approve it. They wont even respond. Guess who that would be … you got it, AIG.

    Youʻre a welfare recipient.
Nothing more, because you see, you are also a failure in business. And a whoremongering alcoholic and drug addict.
    Using our money.
Families receiving welfare have dignity. Not you.
And, you know, for sure, you couldnʻt laid without our money.
And, you know, for sure, it takes a whole bunch of our money for you to look halfway decent.
And, wow, for sure, youʻd look right at home in an orange jumpsuit (or is it brown for federal fraud).
Bubbaʻs a waitinʻ you undeserving wasted piece of skin.
Heʻll know what to do with you.

Obama should take full and direct responsibility for this mess.

My taxes are higher and so are prices. Wages have not gone up for the working man. The margin between affordability and the means to do so has widened. It’s made the reach toward the things we need that much further. I know the economy sucks and everyone has to get a chunk taken out but for what?

If I had heard one good thing on the news about the taxes being taken, it might not hit so hard. The bailout is on a roll yet nothing is changing. Jobs are still dwindling and mouths are getting hungrier… and to top it off Richie Rich gets an even fatter wallet.

I have nothing against anyone successful when it comes to actually working for what you’ve earned.. but giving those bonuses to AIG is like giving a damned brat his allowance after he had disrespected his parents, not completed his chores, and got failing grades in school. Where’s the lesson in that?

Here, this is all your fault but here’s a million dollar bonus to make you feel better….. maybe it’ll soften your pockets after the citizens of the country have had enough and put a boot in your ass.

Eventually that is what it’s going to come to. Don’t think that we uneducated poor people will sit back too much longer and watch the rich get richer and the poor get ass fucked by our government’s failing policies.

Why should we work and pay taxes when only the “suits” benefit. I don’t see my grocery bill dropping, I don’t see my wages increasing, but I damn sure see alot of golden paracutes…… Sure, Tax the bonuses at 90 percent… That 10 percent is still more than I make in a YEAR…. and the funny part…….. IT’S OUR MONEY TO BEGIN WITH!!!!!!!!

I gross maybe $800 bi weekly and over $250 is taken out in taxes…… So when it’s all said and done and the rich are saying that they are the ones supporting the deadbeats of America, it is so untrue… lets look at pay stubs and see who’s money is really going where…

    pompus assholes.
